I don't really like the idea, but it sure will be successful

Well, Ursula is actually based on a drag queen, Divine whom character Harvey Fierstein plays in Hairspray twice, so yeah count me in. Also, I want to watch the holier-than-thou conservatives lose their minds lol
The only issue I see is marketability of Harvey. Ursula is arguably the most interesting character in the movie, and they'd want a bigger name for the role. However, I'd absolutely love for this to happen.

Am I the only one who wished the Broadway adaptation were more successful or that Sherrie Renne Scott was nominated/won for her her Ursula.?!?!!
This is simply because Scott redefined yhe role from a drag queen knock off to that ofan aging beltress. She turned Poor Unfortunate Souls into a Power Ballad Anthem, that I still listen to on repeat. When she was replaced eventually by Faith Prince it returned to its animated routes of being a mostly spoken character song, instead of the showstopper it deserves to be.
I just want an Ursula who can not just hold a tune, but fill a theater with his/her voice. Is that too much to ask? I know they would never cast Scott in a live adaptation, but I would settle for Menzel or another Broadway beltress that can counter Ariel's head voice.
Say what you will about the physical production, I honestly hated it, but it was perfectly cast.
