This is a big hit in New York and I was surprised how easy and more affordable it was to get tickets for West End shows when I visited last week. They have lotteries and Day seat policies for some productions every day. I saw Lazarus, Nice Fish and Dreamgirls all from the front row for £15 each and bought a rear single stalls seat for Cinderella for £23.
If you use code "DGHVR" for your first purchase, it will give you £10 off. Also in New York there's a concierge fee for having to collect your ticket from a rep outside the theatre. In London, there's no fee and you pick up at the box office.
Thanks for the head's up. I'm traveling to London and I already have my eye on a couple of shows on Todaytix. I was already excited about the price but it's good to know that the seats are amazing as well.
Wow you must have been lucky with the lotteries! I've been entering most days for the past few months to every lottery available and I've never won one.
But I still agree, it is a great app, especially when compared to New York it seems to have a lot better/more discounts as well as lottery opportunities.
Wow! I can't believe that then. I won Lazarus the first night, initially didn't win for dreamgirls the second night but I guess someone didn't pay and then I was offered the last seat after already getting a "you didn't win email." I also was only playing for one ticket, as all my friends in London work in theatres. I didn't win Bodyguard, but I figured that was just because it was the final week. I couldn't believe how easy it was to grab the Nice Fish rush, though I found the play absolutely one of the most stupidest things I've ever seen, there were still seats left ten minutes after they were released. That doesn't happen in New York. I have had better luck with the lotteries in New York, but I also am there all the time and it takes a few tries to win. I wonder if the fact that I frequently purchase other tickets through them increases my chances.
