Hi, all - I'm seeing a ton of theatre when I'm there January 12th-23rd, but one of the things I'd really like to do is maybe see some cabaret. Not necessarily jazz, but more along the lines of what you'd see at 54 Below. I was hoping Julie Atherton or someone might be performing, but alas...

Could anyone point me towards this? I was SO hoping MY LAND'S SHORE would be playing when I was there as I've loved hearing all of the recordings Bob has shared.

Also, I hear there's NO piano bars in London. But I find this hard to believe. IS IT TRUE?! GASP!

Check Brasserie Zedel, people like Maria Friedman, Liliane Montevecchi, Samantha Barks, Lorna Luft, Frances Ruffelle and Anne Reid often perform there

There's the ShowOff Piano Bar at Cafe Koha (in the alley between the Wyndhams Theatre and Noel Coward theatre), where you can listen to musical theatre songs all night and anyone can get up to perform! The evenings are presented by the wonderful Sarah Lark (who also performs a set herself). Doors open 8pm and goes on till 1am. There will be a ShowOff night on Friday January 20 if you are interested.

Thanks! We are seeing Wishlist at the National that night, but it's apparently quite short so perhaps we can come by after!

I just nabbed two tickets to Harry Potter that popped up - which is very exciting. Other than that, I'll be seeing closing night of Once In a Lifetime, Dreamgirls, The Mousetrap, An Inspector Calls, The Tempest & The Rover at Stratford, aforementioned Wishlist and Half a Sixpence. MIGHT do a day-ticket for The Comedy About The Bank Robbery.... A night at a piano bar will be a welcome change!

The above suggestions are decent, but it's true there's nothing here like 54 Below or Birdland or - saddest of all - Marie's Crisis. I really need that scene to pick up!

Looks like you have a great lineup! Enjoy!
