I did find out that the reason they canceled the 1/4 matinee though was because they are filming the show (and the cameras would have a tough time navigating an audience)

Is this Lincoln center making up for missing king and I?
I agree, it's REALLY good news.
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

IF they are filming it and want to do without an audience in that day, it would be to film onstage close ups and shots that they couldn't get with an audience present, and edit together with another performance where an audience is present.
Are they filming it for commercial purposes? Live from Lincoln Center? Or just the Theatre on Film and Tape archive at the Library for the Performing Arts? Anybody know?
I've never heard of a performance being cancelled to film for the Archive, so my guess would be some other purpose. I would assume that it would be for either Great Performances or Live from Lincoln Center, as I can't see there being much success in a commercial release (though stranger things have happened in regards to what somebody decides to film and release).
