I am so excited about this production and am SO here for this cast. I also third the call for a new cast recording, as this is one of my favorite scores, too.
Edited to add that I didn't even notice Lauren Worsham was playing Mary Jane Wilkes. I really need to hear her singing "You Oughta Be Here With Me" and "Leavin's Not the Only Way to Go" like immediately.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

Has anyone gotten a Peer to Peer email for this yet? I know they're not sent for every show, but I just want to be sure I didn't accidentally overlook one in my inbox.

By definition, it's a concert version, but Encores often goes beyond that.

Great! I'm looking at front row C balcony seats, but I've heard there may be a bar blocking the view. My wife is 5'0" .. anyone been there recently that would know if the bar is still a problem after the renovations?

There is no problem with the balcony. The view is awesome from the front balcony.
Oh, I'm so happy Nick Barasch got a starring role. I remember how much he wowed me in She Loves Me. And he was only 17! What the heck!
I know they haven't started performances but there's not a lot of chatter on here. Is anyone going? How do you feel about the rehearsal room clips they've released? I love the cast but I'm not that enthusiastic about the show.
I'm going on Thursday as well. Nic Barasch is so perfect for this part, and the rest of the cast sounds spectacular. I'll add my vote for a cast album!

Not sure they'd ever do it for an Encores production, but I wholeheartedly 'fifth' the request for a new cast album. (C'mon Ghostlight!)

They've recorded them for 'A New Brain' and 'Pipe Dream' and a few others recently so it could happen! I'd absolutely love a recording of this!

Good to know! Thanks for the hope! Big River is so overdue for a new recording, and this cast would be perfect for it.
I'm going Sunday night! I only decided to go after the Peer-to-Peer email was sent out (which Cupid Boy2 had asked about before) and saw that the $70 seats were being discounted to $35. I would guess that the City Center is having trouble selling this show because there have been a lot of discount codes floating around over the last 2 weeks, including one from Show-Score (which seems to be the same as the P2P discount). I'm not sure what the policy is on these boards regarding posting discount codes, but I'd be happy to post the Show-Score one, if it's allowed (or you can just PM me).
Yeah, 3NU. I've been keeping an eye on things since the casting was announced debating whether or not I wanted to go and tickets haven't really been moving. I'd guess things picked up a little when they started releasing discounts but there are still plenty of good seats. I'm going Saturday. I'm glad I waited to snag one of the formerly $70 seats.
