Was there Wednesday night. When you enter the theater, you'll probably be taken aback by what you see (I'll not spoil the experience) and you'll probably be wondering how this is going to work. It does, Brilliantly. The intimacy is amazing - nobody is more than 4 rows from the playing area, and the boldest and most amazing lighting design (often the audience bathed in the same light as the performers) enhances the overall effect. I could go on and on, but suffice to say the cast is outstanding, This is a theatrical experience you will never forget.

My performance this afternoon and last evening's performance were cancelled due to an actor's illness. The understudies were most likely not fully rehearsed to go on. I'm assuming it was one of the leads. Was lucky enough to get a last minute $30 seat to Ride the Cyclone.

Do they even have understudies? They didn't for Lazarus and had to cancel a few performances.

If they hired understudies, they won't add them until later in the run. I doubt they have them at all.
Between all the cancelled performances of Lazarus and now this, they really need to think budgeting so they can hire understudies from the beginning for the future, IMO. Updated On: 11/26/16 at 08:23 PM

Anyone having luck with this or the Sweet Charity lottery? I'm desperate to see both, but the lottery is my only option. I've entered for every performance and still no luck.

@rippedman - Unfortunately, no info on the design was provided by my friend. What he did say was that the production is very smart -- strange and contemporary.
Raves all around for the performances, especially Craig.
My friend also said what amazed him the most was the entire cast was completely "on" at Sunday's matinee, amazing considering someone had been ill enough for the couple of days prior to prompt the cancellation of performances.
Anyway, I'd love to hear more about the production from anyone who has attended. I fear that comments/observations from the message board might be the closest that i get to experiencing this. (I'll be at the mercy of the cancellation line when i'm in NYC in January.)

Three shows were cancelled - Friday eve, sat matinee and sat eve. Daniel Craig was the actor who was ill. They are overwhelmed trying to find replacement tickets for all those who were cancelled - not sure what that will do to the lottery or any remaining availability. I was and still am so looking forward to this!

What is the price for the cancellation tickets? I don't even know what the price was when they went on sale!

The price I paid for my ticket was $125, back on initial release. Can anyone comment on the seating? I know the seats are kind of set in a rectangle, but one side has no seats. Are the views good?
