That's awesome! I'd love to go. Does it sound like most/all of the cast will be there? If both Carmen Cusack and Paul Nolan will be there, I'm very very interested. ^_^
I am surprised at the high ticket prices, considering the Town Hall is a *massive* venue, larger than a Broadway house. I would've expected a much lower average ticket price as a result. But hey, who knows. Perhaps there are just that many Bright Star/Steve Martin/Edie Brickell with $$ lying around.
^It seems as though the entire cast will be there. Carmen wrote online that she will definitely attend, and it isn't coincidental the event is on a Monday so that those involved in other shows can partake as well (Paul Nolan is in Chicago and Emily Padgett in Sweet Charity). The point of the event is to have the original cast sing the score so unless noted, it's a safe bet that they will all show up.
I am almost positive they are just singing through the score and not actually performing the show. Logistically, that would be a nearly impossible feat.

Looks like there are only 15 tickets left on Ticketmaster, so if you haven't purchased yet, now's the time. "
Yay! I'm thrilled for them. I was skeptical at first, but I'm glad they proved me wrong. I had to hesitate on getting a ticket because I was told I might have to travel out of town for work next week and now it's too late. Oh well. I can't wait to hear about it though!
Do we know if this is a video or audio live stream?
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

Unless someone records the live stream and posts it, I doubt it will be available afterwards. I believe that's what happens every year with the Drama Desks.
i've got 99 problems and a revival of parade would solve like 94 of them
