Any news when tickets will be on sale? Still no website either.
Aren't Dolly and Saigon opening at around the same time? These have been on sale for a while now. Why do you think War Paint is taking so long with its tickets and website?
I'm ready too. I've got my tickets for Bette Midler and Glenn Close. Need to add Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole to my spring New York theatre trip.

The fact that we can say things like these make me very hopeful about the future of musical theater.

Thanks, Valentina3, I agree. I think last season everyone was steering clear of "Hamilton", and now we're seeing an amazing selection of new musicals and revivals. I've seen "Dear Evan Hansen" and "Come From Away" and those two show also make me very hopeful for the future of musical theatre. They are both excellent, exciting and fresh musicals. But I'm off topic... "War Paint" ticketing open, open, open.

I've read soooooo much about War Paint here and the only thing drawing me to it was Patti Lupone. The title made me think of cowboys and indians! LOL! and never checked to see what it was about. I clicked on the link above (THANK YOU, jacobsnchz14!) and my eyes popped! Helena Rubenstein? Elizabeth Arden? I've worked in the cosmetics industry for 23 years! I am sooooo going!!!!! Who is playing Estée Lauder? Ha! I'm gonna loooooove this!
Thank you to all the Broadway World members who mentioned this show! Can't wait!
Thanks for the heads up, Broadway Concierge. Got my alarm set on the west coast for 7 am tomorrow.
What I find curious is that I signed up for advance ticket information on the official websites of "Dolly", "War Paint" and several other upcoming shows. And I've not gotten any emails from any of them regarding ticket sales. That's why I appreciate everyone on the Boards keeping us updated. Thanks!

Same! I even set up a google alert for war paint and I wasn't even informed that way!!!
Got my "War Paint" ticket as well! Very happy, but no alerts from the "War Paint" website either. I did get an alert for a new block of "Wicked" tickets from the "Wicked" producers this morning though
I actually love the logo font, it's the double floating faces that creep me out a little...
Nonetheless, I would love to see this, but it's a bit soon for me to be buying tickets. My schedule changes like the weather. See you in spring, divas...

Does not appear to be a rush for tickets at the moment - although I imagine barely anyone knows about it at the moment. I didn't get the email either.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
Anyone think there will be a discount code made available for this at any point? Planning a trip in April and already got Hello Dolly and Sunset tickets for $200 each which is the most I have ever spent on Broadway shows...there are many more shows I'd like to see in April but can't keep buying at these prices! Thanks!
Another version of the "conehead" artwork. I actually really like the artwork! It's cool how they both look like the actresses, but also show the makeup styles of the women they're portraying!
