Are the Cirque Shows - not Paramour - but their Barclays show and Randall Island shows usually discounted? Like on TDF or anything? Or should I just get a ticket? I've recently become so into Cirque after having been to Vegas, and super curious about seeing the shows.
So what's the best deal for Turok at the Barclays? Playbill and theatermania codes don't seem to work anymore. Any other codes out there? Goldstar is 48 but in the 200s. Are the $50 tickets in the last row of 100s the best then? But will have to buy at the box office day of to avoid $20 fees.
If you're a student, senior, or military, Cirque offers discounts to non-peak performances. That would make the last row of the 100s for Toruk $45 rather than $50, if it applies to you. For Kurios, that would make the $57 tickets $52.
Also, a bit of advice since I've already seen Toruk: the higher up you sit, the better, I think. Most of the "wonder" of this show comes from the projections on the stage floor, and they're better viewed from a height so you can get the full impact of the visuals.
The Cirque Club (through their website) usually gives you 10% tickets, as well as special promotions. Not sure what they are doing for Paramour, though, and you can probably go cheaper through discounts/TKTS.
Looking at seats for Toruk this Sunday. The sides are like super expensive, but the ones at end of the floor are really cheap? Are these terrible seats?
Really didn't care for this. Felt like such a slow slog as they spend more time running around the set and bringing out childish puppets than doing actual circus acts. With a narrated plot that's even more incomprehensible than simplistic cirque plots. And Avatar is a trash fantasy movie and franchise to begin with. Plus they still charge $7.50 in fees at the box office. Annoyingly of all, it started 15 minutes after curtain and the 20 minute intermission was 35 minutes, so it took 2 and half hours, not 2 as advertised. Not sure if that's the norm, but bothered me since I couldn't wait to get out of there.

I'm sorry to hear this. I'm taking my boyfriend to see it on Saturday night and I'm actually pretty excited to see it. He's never see a Cirque show, and I've only seen La Nouba.
