So I guess you are a registered Democrat - lol. I don't get the point of your thread. I assume most people will pretty much follow their party with their Presidential votes. I will also go out on a limb (lol) and say that this board is basically 90% Democrats from the political threads I have read. I am waiting to see if anyone says they voted for Bush and how quickly they will be trashed for voting for him.
My mom always says she voted for bush in 2004, because he was a wartime president and needed to keep the president the same. That is saying a lot, because my mom is the biggest liberal I've ever known. I think people who voted for bush in 2004 were thinking the same thing, but after all the lies came out people regretted it. Anyway John Kerry would have been a lame president and Obama might have never gotten in so I guess everything worked out!

Yeah everything worked out. Bush's 2nd term was terrific and that recession in 2008 was THE BEST. Wish we could have another one just like it. How exactly would John Kerry have been a lame president?
Bush was a terrible President. Absolutely horrendous. But let's not play games here and pretend like Bill Clinton's rampant deregulation of wall street and the housing market didn't at least open the door to said recession, which was only further exacerbated by Bush's economic policies.

It probably created a far more permissive lending environment than had been before which most would argue fit what was needed in the 90's. Whether its legacy impacted what happened in 2008 can be debated but I think it fair to say, it probably didn't help things. My comment was really directed more at the notion that "everything worked out".
Glad to know there's at least one Republican in the mix here, though from the look of other Bandstand posts just now, he could be a newly hatched troll...
But as a dyed-in-the-wool GOP, surely you must know that REAGAN is the proper spelling of Ronnie's name.
