Anyone know the story on why after decades of all but bupkus we are suddenly getting Jeannie Berlin back in full force with The Night Of, in which she's brilliant, and Cafe Society?

Did she suddenly get the acting bug all over again?

I saw her in Los Angeles, at the Mark Taper Forum, a number of years ago in OTHER DESERT CITIES. I really enjoyed her performance...think it was 2012.

She made a comeback with Margaret (in which she was brilliant, probably my favorite performance of that whole year), and more recently she was in Inherent Vice. I don't know what brought her back, but I'm glad for it.

I love her and wish she was my neighbor.

She gave brilliant performances in "The Heartbreak Kid" and "Sheila Levine is Dead and Living in New York".

I wish I could have seen her in Other Dessert Cities.
