"Rose's Turn" is definitely the most iconic, with "I'm Here" as a close second.

I would personally classify "Wicked Little Town (Reprise)" as an eleven o'clock number, and it's one of my favorites.

Also, not necessarily saying this is one of the best, but "She Used to Be Mine" was certainly a highlight from Waitress for me.

A lot -- maybe the majority -- of the songs listed so far are not 11 o'clock numbers. (And I'd argue a lot of them also are terrible, but different strokes....) Anyway, "Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat" from "Guys and Dolls" is pretty much the prototypical 11 o'clock number.

-- I'm Going Back

-- Revenge

-- So Long Dearie

-- Send in the Clowns

-- Move On

-- if He Walked Into My Life Today

-- Is Anybody There?

-- Shall We Dance?

-- You I like (maybe a little too like the above)

-- I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face

-- I must admit that I have not to date fallen under the spell of Lot's Wife.  It clearly is the 11:00 number...I just don't get anything from the song

I almost kind of feel like She Loves Me has three 11 o'clock numbers in a row.  Vanilla Ice Cream then She Loves Me then A Trip to The Library.

Act 2 of she loves me is just one fantastic number after another. my boyfriend wasn't feeling great when we saw it on Broadway, to the point where I thought he might leave at intermission. he stuck it out and by the end of Twelve Days to Christmas he (along with everyone else) was laughing his face off. All those terrific songs in a row made him feel much better (as well as Jane doing that hilarious leap that she did).

An 11 o'clock number is a term from an older time that means (usually) a showstopping number sung near the end of the final act of a traditional musical, I say final act because of shows like Peter Pan. It's called an 11 o'clock number because many years ago, when shows started later, this number was performed at about 11 o'clock, coincidentally.

No need to be snarky my friend.

I love 11 o'clock numbers...not only do they tear the theater roof off when done correctly, but they've given drag queens an impressive selection of material.

Pointing out that the term "11 o'clock number" is being misused is not snarky. However referring to someone as "my friend" when they are not your friend, is.

A drag queen did that number @ Pieces Bar on Saturday. The Streisand version. I stopped by for a quick drink. It was not pretty.

I love "Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat".

No one has done it better than Stubby Kaye.

That man tore that song up and lifted it up to legendary status!

His JubilationT. Cornpone from "Li'l Abner" is right up there as well!
