I'm planning an impromptu trip in early October. Wanted to tap into the board's knowledge of these shows, since most of these will still be in previews. If you had to pick 3 from below, which would you pick?

Falsettos

Holiday Inn

The Cherry Orchard

The Front Page

Heisenberg

The Encounter

Cats

I'm leaning toward Cherry Orchard, Falsettos, and Front Page, but I'm really open. I'll be back in April 2017, and I think Cats and Great Comet will still be open. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Thanks y'all. Taking out Great Comet!

Comet,  Falsettos & The Front Page.

But you can't plan an impromptu trip.  Just sayin'.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

If youre planning to go in early October then i dont think Comet will be open, it doesnt start until the 18th i think. Im gonna be in NY from the 5th-16th and remember being saddened that i wouldnt be able to see it.

^ She's right, early October will keep you from Comet.

I'd go with the three you're leaning towards--Falsettos, The Front Page and The Cherry Orchard unless you are coming in after October 8th. Then I would substitute Les Liasons Dangereuses for The Cherry Orchard.  I am looking forward to Liasons with Janet McTeer and Liev Schreiber at the Booth.

Thanks for the help!! Yeah, I suppose the trip isn't really impromptu if I'm planning it now...

I was very tempted by Heisenberg for Parker, so unless I hear anything else, I think I'll stick with my initial three shows (Falsettos, Front Page, and Cherry Orchard). I was interested in Les Liasons, but I'll be in the city before previews start.

It's not impromptu with all this planning. That's why dramamama611 called me on that. This October's is better described as an pitstop.

I can't really say much about all the other plays, but I did see Heisenberg off-Broadway last year for Marie-Lousie Parker and I quite enjoyed it, it was an intriguing play and a fabulous performance. I'm glad I got to see it, and her live!

Go sightseeing, enjoy what New York has to offer. There are lot of restaurants and events

Personally, with what is on Broadway right now, I would rather spend my $ for extra shopping than on a Broadway show.
