I would like to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory before it closes. I've just been online and the tickets look ridiculously expensive. I was wondering has anyone any experience of getting cheap seats for this. I.e. going to the box office or TKTs booth? They dont appear to offer a Day Seat. Any advice would be great!

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

That bad? Over the past year or two I've put off seeing this as other things have been on. But as it's closing I thought I should give it a change. Is it ever on offer at the TKTs booth?
When I saw it years ago I asked the box office if they did day seats and the very kind woman said sorry, no, but they had cheap balcony seats. I said that would be fine and she even told me "we always end up closing the balcony so you'll probably be moved to a much better seat." Lo and behold I ended up in a great seat in the stalls. So at least I had a good view of a mess of a show.
We saw it from the front row of the dress circle in early 2014. We knew it was going to be Hodge's understudy but the box office didn't really do much for us and my daughter wanted to see the show. I think we got what were normally "premium" seats for the more normal price of around 60 pounds.
It's biggest problem is it's dull , parts look pretty, but nothing memorable in stage, song, story wise. It even tops Ghost as a worst musical, and that's saying something. I saw it not long after opening night and payed top price ( 70 or more pounds ) . I was angry by the time it finished and wanted to slap those children off the. Stage

It's really not worth it. Go see Show Boat instead - (sadly) closing early, but fantastic show, and there'll probably be some good ticket deals popping up soon.
Go to London Theatre Bookings on the day of the show, They have incredible deals on the day for Charlie. They are located all over Leicester Sq or Next to Covent Garden tube station
