The shows that are listed all have tickets for future dates, which I understand. Was curious if they are ever available for the same day. For example I'll be in the city tomorrow afternoon, any chance tickets will be available through TDF for shows tomorrow night? Thanks!
In general, TDF sales usually close around 9am on the day of the performance. This allows TDF to send their list of ticket buyers to the theatre so the box office has an idea of what their numbers and house will look like during the morning or afternoon, giving them plenty of time to add or remove tickets to the booth or rush etc. depending on what they need.
But each theatre arranges the "off sale" time with TDF. If a performance is particularly undersold, they may ask TDF to leave it up on the site for a few extra hours to get as many sales as possible. On the other hand some shows ask it to be taken down at midnight so they can get the patron list first thing in the morning.
So it varies but its always better to buy in advance through TDF. If you are looking for tomorrow I would go on the site now and make a purchase if there is something you like. It will prob be gone by 9am. For sameday purchases you are better off using TKTS booth or TodayTix app.
