Box seats/rush for Fiddler

Was wondering if anyone has been in the box seat section for Fiddler on the Roof? I heard that for this show, rush is not such a great deal, as the seats are mainly in (extreme) rear mezz -- has that still been the case recently? I wouldn't mind spending say $10 more if that's what the box seats cost to get closer to the stage... Thanks for any input!

I've not sat in the box seats for this show, but I have sat in the box seats in the theater for multiple other shows and I would say definitely spend the extra $10.  How much are the box seats? Has anyone gotten better seats through rush?

I hadn't realized the Box seats were only $10 more than rush. Where do you see that? Do they sell them on telecharge?

Everyone I know who has rushed the show has been in the rear-mezzanine, which is VERY far away. If the box seats are indeed only $10 more, I would definitely go for that. I might even go see the show again to get a closer view, if that's true.

I did not sit in the boxes, but I was in the front row of the mezz, all the way on the end.  In other words, right next to the boxes.  My view was fine, and I would assume the view from the boxes would also be good.  I would recommend those seats.

Thanks so much for the input! Sorry for the confusion, when I said "I wouldn't mind spending say $10 more if that's what the box seats cost to get closer to the stage..." it's just pure speculation, and I will have to go ask and buy at the box office directly (as indicated by Telecharge). I don't live in the NYC area, so if anyone happens to have any info regarding pricing, that would be much appreciated.

I know that The Palace Theater sells AAIP box seats for $40, same price as lottery seats and only $8 more than rush. Those seats were quite good, especially if you get the inside ones.

Sounds like the box seats for the Broadway Theatre are superior to rear mezz(i.e. what you'd get from rush tix) then...

Story Time from when I saw fiddler! I got seats for the 3rd row (because the stage extends out to the 3rd row it counted as first row) and when the people next to me got there(a grandma and her granddaughters), the grandma who took her granddaughters to the show complained saying she wouldn't be able to see anything. She went to the manager and got a box seat for the three of them (it was the only box used that night all other box seats were empty) but one of the granddaughters satyed back, so that night two front row seats were empty.

I sat in the frontmost box to the left for Fiddler, and thought it was a great view.

if you don't mind me asking, how much were those seats, and did you have to buy them in advance or day of?

Anybody have any more info on what rush is like currently or what the price and availability of box seats are?

I am wondering if anyone has rushed Fiddler lately and can report on when they brought their ticket? Im looking at seeing it in a few weeks and cant decide if i should buy a rear mezzanine seat now or wait and see if i can get rush on the day i arrive, however i wont be arriving in to the city until about 2pm, which i fear may be too late. Do i just buy my ticket for the last row of the mezzanine now for $8 more than the rush price or wait? Decisions decisions!

3 weeks ago, I got a rush ticket at 10:30 on a Saturday and got rear orchestra full-view seats.

For what it's worth, a few weeks ago I saw someone on Instagram with Front Mezzanine Center Row D rush tickets, but it may have been a slow weeknight and they wanted to fill some good seats.
