did a google search and searched these boards with no luck. what's the scoop on this new musical? anyone know?

Wow, that must mean Ashmanskas' contract in Shuffle Along is either super short, or that he'll be taking a pretty solid departure from the show.

All I know about this show is that I will be down there because of Angie Schworer. I honestly love anything Casey does so I'm into it.

I knew Nicholaw was in high demand, but between Tuck right now, this over the summer, and then Dreamgirls in London... what a hard-working dude.

He might have moved on from Matilda permanently even though he's come back in the past, but I would love if Ben Thompson took over full-time as Trunchbull.

I agree! I've seen all of the Trunchbulls (including Sean Montgomery and Geoff Packard) and Ben is still my favorite.

Just saw this musical in Atlanta, not my favorite but it has potential...any other thoughts? I'm not sure it could do Broadway....

Chris already left Matlida at the very beginning of June and I'm fairly sure he had no plans to return. In his time there, Chris never left and came back - outside of some vacation time. He played the role for over 2 years.

Miss Trunchbull is currently played by Bryce Ryness who came from the National tour. He's been there since Chris left.
