I don't think they would produce a show with the word "Normal" in the title. It has a different meaning for deaf people. Such as "why can't you talk like normal people"? I speak from experience.
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
I think a Deaf West August: Osage County could be interesting. With the right casting, ASL could add some new layers to such things as the generational differences in the family and the struggles with addiction. I'd love to see a hearing Barbara cast opposite a deaf Violet.
Back when I saw Big River, I had visions of Urinetown done by Deaf West, but mostly so because I wanted to see Tyrone Giordano as Bobby Strong. I don't think it could be quite as layered in incorporating Deaf culture as Spring Awakening does, but it'd be a funny show.

From day one, I've said If/Then with Marlee Matlin as Elizabeth. I'd also love to see them take on Into the Woods.

What I loved most about Deaf West's Sprint Awakening was how organically ASL mixed into a piece about issues of communications and added TO the piece. Now, I would live to see Deaf West tackle pretty much anything so that deaf talent has a chance to shine and deaf audiences have a real complete theatre experience. But I do think something like WSS could actually be more layered with ASL.
