My boyfriend is heading to London this Friday for a week! He is a big theater lover so I wanted to give him some suggestions of shows on the West End! I know he will have JUST missed Gypsy, which is a bummer...but any suggestions (both plays and musicals) would be helpful!
On a related note, is there a site to find the shows' rush policies? (I think in the UK it's called 'day tickets'.)

Hey,
I'm in London right now and enjoying a theatre marathon:
"Miss Saigon" is a real delight.
" Kinky Boots" is really nice.
"Cats" is a must-see if he hasn't yet.
I'm seeing "Guys and Dolls" tonight so will tell you after the show !
Sarah bernhardt to a fellow actress:
"Have you got stage fright, dear?"
"No," the young lady aswered astonished.
"Don't worry, it will come along with talent!"

Those are great suggestions! Thank you so much...I'm going to push him to try to see 'Cats' if he can. I';ve heard the woman who plays Grizabella is wonderful! Also, I'd love to hear your take on Guys and Dolls...so please do post your thoughts! Thank you SO much!

Medium See: Sunny Afternoon. If you like The Kinks.

Also, there is a revival of Funny Girl at the Menier Chocolate Factory - it's sold out - but there is a cancellation line.

ggersten-thanks for the information! Also, I would love for him to see Funny Girl! I knew it was sold out but wasn't aware of the cancellation line. Do you know the chances of getting tickets? Any suggestions on time of day, day of the week, etc would be greatly appreciated! :)

Sorry to come back to you so late... "Guys and Dolls" was awesome ! The actress playing Adelaide is just great ! It's worth going !
I would have liked to attend a performance of "The Play that Goes Wrong" but it didn't fit in my schedule !
