What did you guys think? I loved it! Really, really excited for the production. I watched the performance broadcast on Periscope as well. Great cast, and Melanie has such a lovely voice - I was worried that they cast her purely for her dancing ability. The sisters were great, and I loved "Miracle of Miracles" - Adam Kantor did such a good job! I can't wait to see this!
Every so often there was a rare moment of perfect balance when I soared above him.
Tevye plays to all of Burstein's strengths, and I definitely think this could be the performance that wins him a Tony.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

Danny's "Rich man" was underwhelming. He's just doing the same hammy shtick he does with most of his roles. He was performing for himself, not for the character. I don't see Tevye in him. Nailed the beard though.
I still have Alfred Molina and the rest of the 2004 broadway revival cast stuck in my head. My personal favorite cast and it's hard to hear other people :p
^ I haven't been able to find that cast recording anywhere for a while. Do you know if they pulled it entirely from every (online) store?
Concerning the sisters, I think a lot of it is because Alexandra Silber has such a heavy voice in comparison to Melanie Moore and Samantha Massell. I knew this would be an issue when they cast Alexandra. Hopefully they can polish their performance up before opening night.

Never a good sign when Richie Ridge gushes over something. I noticed every time he loves something it bombs. Started noticing this as early as the Jersey Boys movie.

I love Danny. I am sure he will be sensational. My comment about R.R. was referring to the production itself. BTW; I hope it is wonderful. I love the show.
I hope he wins only if his performance is the best compared to the other actors in the category.. And not another "they deserve it because....." (Talked about this over and over.. pretty sure everyone is annoyed by now)
Do people really carr about another fiddler revival? Seems just boring to me. What can they really do to it that hasn't been done before. It's not like a cirque show will be shoved into it or anything.
^ Feel the exact same. People on here were predicting all the awards when they announcing Les Miserables was coming back... we all know the outcome. We never know if something is going to be a hit anymore. Plus, this is the 5th revival.
