RENT RENT RENT !!!!! I want a Rent revival sooooooooooo bad !!!!!!! Mainly so I can get the chance to play Mimi lol but still I would love to see it on Broadway again . I'm typing this as I watch the final live filmed performance. What are some revivals you all wanna see
I was really hoping that the TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA revival that played at the Delacorte back in 2005 would have transferred to Broadway, but that never happened and it looks like no one is willing to take a chance and produce another revival, but nonetheless I really would love to see one.

That was one of my all-time favorite theatrical experiences in NYC. I will never understand why it didn't transfer, ESPECIALLY during the Bush years (Bring All the Boys Back Home was hugely effective). Goldsberry and Lewis delivered Tony-worthy performances. I'd give anything to see that production again. Pure heaven.
I feel like some version of this thread topic springs up once a month.
Oh, it does. That's why I only responded to Carlos. Anything else I would love to see revived can be found listed in one of the hundreds of threads on the subject.

I agree Mister Matt. It's a wonderful show that really should have a revival. I didn't get to see the '05 production, but I did see the OBC in '71 with Jonelle Allen and Raul Julia. It won the Best Musical Tony that year, besting both Follies and Grease.
"Funny Girl" and "Sweet Charity" with Annaleigh Ashford.
"Grey Gardens" with Erin Davie in Christine Ebersole's original role, and Christine Ebersole in Mary Louise Wilson's original role. (Or with Annaleigh Ashford in Christine Ebersole's original role. I mean COME ON.)
"Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" and "Annie Get Your Gun" with Megan Hilty.
They/them.
