A friend & I headed to Boston area next week to see it-- have tickets for both Friday and Saturday. Very curious to see it; I haven't listened to much of what's been previewed, so am going in relatively unspoiled.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

I'm seeing it in late August but I have no idea why. My expectations are that it's going to be another crappy Diane Paulus original musical. If I'm pleasantly surprised, I give my word that I will say so here.
I'm not a Paulus fan, but the film is beautiful, so I'm excited to hear how this show will work out. Paulus has a sort of dream-like style which Waitress needs to have. Sara previewed a couple of beautiful songs from the show. It's a great idea for a musical. I'll be quite disappointed if the opportunity is missed for a great show.
I'm a little upset to not see Adrienne Shelly (the original director/writer of the film) being given credit for her work. She may not be a big name, but she poured her heart into that film and was tragically murdered before she got to see it. I think the poster should say that it is based on her film.
I'm seeing it on Thursday August 6 - I can't wait! I also can't believe what a great seat I got for $25. Awesome early preview prices.
I know people might not come out since its early in previews but can anyone fill me in on the stage door location/situation at ART? I've never been there at all.
For fellow Sara Bareilles fans, she's doing a book release event - a concert/talk and book signing at Brooklyn Academy of Music on Oct 6. It's only $25 for the event which is pretty great to hear her sing and $45 to add a copy of the book and book signing event after.
There is no door. Actors come out the regular lobby. If you are FACING the box office, the line/area begins to your left.

BroadwayGirl, If I remember correctly the stage door isn't actually outside. It's on the far left of the lobby with some ropes blocking the area off. I haven't been to the ART since Finding Neverland and I left before anyone came out, but I'm pretty sure there were people lining up over there. And I went early during previews too.
I hope someone attending will let it be known if the new songs are actually hummable. That is, contain a melody. It's a good, basic story so It would be nice and artistically consistent if it was accompanied by good basic music (and lyrics)
Seeing it on Friday 8/7 - can not wait! Hopefully this will help me not be as upset about the mess Finding Neverland became when it transferred to Broadway.
If the rest of the score is up to par with the song "She Used to Be Mine", then this will be one amazing score. Looking forward to reading people's thoughts on this.
"There’s nothing quite like the power and the passion of Broadway music. "

Which clearly gives credit to the film's writer/director.

I'm here at the lobby, lots of anticipation. Posters for $10 each or $20 for 3 as they have 3 different colours, but I think they only sell a certain number per performance, approximately 25. Overheard someone saying that Sara won't be coming out tonight but we will see. I'll try to post pictures later.
