I heard that Sharp doesn't do some performances each week, which ones are they usually?

Also, is Row O in the Orch a bad place to sit?  I wanna get at far back Orch seat so I can see the whole stage and feel like I'm in it, but I don't want the Mezz to block too much.  Any suggestions?

Sharp recently switched to taking off Sunday matinees and Wednesday evenings.

The only thing is that there are two brief periods of time where there is supplemental action in the mezzanine.

I was in Row N or the orchestra and it was a great view! The mezzanine overhqng only obstructed the very very top of the stage only slightly where nothing is used. You should be fine. And while many people said not to sit on the sides you will miss one of the sides of the wall even if you're on the aisle (I was) but everything projected on that wall is also projected on the other one so you should also be OK there. And finally, while many have said front mezzanine is the way to go for this show (which I'm sure it is) the stuff that is projected on the stage floor that you can't really see from the orchestra is projected at the same time on the center wall. There really isn't a terrible seat for this show. Alex Sharp doesn't perform Wednesday nights or Saturday matinees. Hope that helps! :)

For what it's worth, I sat in the rear mezzanine off to the side and the view was fantastic. I went to a Sunday matinee and Alex Sharp was on. This was back in March, though.

I think you meant Saturday matinees, because he used to not do Sunday matinnes, but recently he switched to not doing Saturday matinees. :)

Well I hope they didnt change the schedule TOO RECENTLY because I went and bought tickets from the box office two weeks ago and asked specifically if Alex Sharp would be performing on Sunday Matinees and was told he performed that day.

No, it wasn't that recent. This has been this way for about a month. He performs Sunday matinees now, no need to worry :)

You are right, I grabbed the wrong Playbill to double check. Sorry!

I mentioned this elsewhere but I would avoid the rear mezz, house left side. The house lighting position is exposed and, due to some very loud sound cues, I imagine, the light board op's headset is up very high. You can hear every "go" in this section, and I wasn't the only one whose head was on the swivel as a result. At first I thought the noise was a malfunctioning hearing aid. I also heard the click of the GO button pretty clearly.

Thank you so much for all of your help!  I'm gonna avoid the Mezz all together because when I'm up there for any show, I just don't get into the show enough.  I feel like a spectator.

Just purchased my tickets to see Alex on 9/8. I called Telecharge and they confirmed that he does not perform Wednesday evening and Saturday matinee. Glad I'll be able to get to see him before he leaves.

I was also able to get a good deal on pre-sale Broadway Week two-fers.

The presale ends tomorrow 8/18.
