Anyone see this yet?  Tony Shaloub and his r/l wife Brooke Adams doing this Beckett two hander.

We saw it in Boston during the winter and really enjoyed it.  It *is* Beckett, so you gotta like Beckett to like this.

Highly recommended.

I have probably seen Happy Days a dozen times, and I would not put this one up near the top although, to be fair, it was not the worst either.

I appreciate your input.  This was our first time seeing it.  Boston reviews were kinder than the one NYC review I've seen.  Not sure if that is significant or not.

After I posted above, I started to figure out the worst I've seen. That award has to go to the one starring Lea Delaria. I'll let you imagine what that was like, but it actually won't take a lot of imagination.

"oh my" is about all I can come up with in response to that image.

No, not a good image, but Lea Delaria in Happy Days couldn't be nearly as bad as Lea Delaria as Vera Charles in Mame (Maim?) at Bucks County Playhouse a couple years ago.

Lea DeLaria was utterly awful in every way in HAPPY DAYS. To boot went up many times the night I saw the show. With the exception of her fine performance in ON THE TOWN, I've never understood her appeal, really.

I do like this play quite a lot, but I've never found Brooke Adams to be a terribly interesting actor. So I've been avoiding this production unless someone can give me a reason not to.
