Per this article, the Southwark's IN THE HEIGHTS will be transferring. I've heard this is the best thing Southwark has ever presented, so perhaps not a surprise, but pleasant news nonetheless -- though I'm not quite sure why they didn't wait to announce when they had a proper venue to tell.
This is fantastic news! Loved the show on Broadway - loved it even more at Southwark Playhouse. Hope that most of the cast will be available for the transfer.
Fantastic as it was though, I don't think it's the best thing ever at the Southwark Playhouse. For me, Dogfight was even better!

Dogfight really was spectacular and I hope we see more of that somewhere.
Anyone who saw their 'In The Heights', how were the accents? I've noticed that the majority of US accents here have been not great, and it's super frustrating (as is the case with the opposite on Bway) so with that super fast music I imagine it would be really hard.
Over all, I would say that the accents were pretty damn good. Having seen -and loved- ITH on Broadway, I assumed this version would feel a little watered-down. I was joyously proved wrong.......I was knocked sideways by the Southwark Playhouse version.
