The Blue Room- Nicole Kidman

Elephant Man- Bradley Cooper

Three Days of Rain- Julia Roberts

Seems as if these big names star in shows I simply do not like.  Also saw American Buffalo in London a few weeks ago- great cast- play was not impressive.

Walked out of The Play That Goes Wrong in London- after twenty minutes

Betrayal- Daniel Craig- that one stunk as well

Billy Elliott

Matilda- jarring tone- serious, then, way too broad, couldn't understand the children most of the time.  Too many plot twists and turns.

Road To Bountiful- Cicely Tyson- boring.

Spring Awakening

Walked out of The Play That Goes Wrong in London- after twenty minutes

That's too bad.  The longer you stayed, the more it paid off.  The second act had the audience roaring and by the end, it was pretty spectacular.  My only quibble was wondering how they skirted copyright infringement with the Farndale Avenue plays.  It was basically The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen's Guild Dramatic Society Murder Mystery, but on a larger scale.

"Spring Awakening"

Spring Awakening's not for everyone. Most of the lyrics are very non-literal and metaphorical. Also not everyone's into that edgy-rock sound for Broadway musicals, but it is for me and is one of my favorites.

Too many to enumerate... but. now that I am reminded of it, yes, Copenhagen was a true snooze fest.

Copenhagen was a few hours of a few actors moving chairs around saying "Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah'

The worse thing would be Copenhagen The Musical - Blah Blah Blah set to music

Staging of Lion King was great but it had no business beating Ragtime for the Best Musical Tony.

Wicked! Even the flying monkeys couldn't save it. I'm sorry, I know I'm in the minority.

Matilda - Those screaming kids, ugh!

Next to Normal - That shrieking woman and her family, ugh!

Those are some controversial opinions dude. Two of those are some of my favorite musicals. (Wicked & N2N)

PHANTOM- 3 hours of the same 4 melodies being repeated over and over and over and over again... Woof.

MAMMA MIA- I'm pretty good as suspending disbelief in order to be entertained. It didn't work this time.

SISTER ACT- I don't know if it qualifies as a "hit": I hope it doesn't
