Looking forward to watching! I haven't read anything about the entries. I prefer knowing nothing about them before I watch. Love Graham Norton's commentary in the UK broadcast.
I'm so ready for some good cheesy fun and general weirdness.

The top 27 has been decided. People were flipping out because Malta and Ireland didn't get through. I didn't care much for either. Israel's entry is pretty great. I am still loving Sweden's entry, though.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!
The song is Heroes. It's been wildly popular here since he won. The performance is a lot of fun, too. I may be biased, but I haven't seen anything I think comes close, as of yet.

I don't think you're biased. I saw very few remarkable songs and to me, Sweden is the obvious winner. Albania made my ears bleed. So many performers who can't sing in tune. I'd put Italy and Azerbaijan in the top 3 with Sweden (with Italy being Sweden's biggest competitor). I also liked UK, Lithuania (the kiss was totally cute), Serbia and Spain.
I really miss the old Eurovision weirdness, folk music and familiar fun tacky formulaic performances.

I've voted for Australia, not because I think the song is the best but because it would mess up the whole idea of what Eurovision is about if the contest had to come from down under next year.
Besides, the Aussies' need to win something this year 'cos they're so gonna not win the Rugby World Cup.
Looks like it's between Sweden, Italy and Russia. And it may be a tight race. I'd actually be surprised if Russia wins, considering the anti-gay politics that got them booed last year.

I love how the host has to keep reminding the audience that the theme is "Building Bridges" and to try and keep politics out of the contest. Meanwhile, the neighboring countries all vote for each other, as usual. LOL
