Monsoon wedding on Broadway 2015-2016?

I have heard rumors that this could also be included in this next season- what are people's thoughts on this? Seems like a crowded season for sure and I am not sure how it would stack up.

I would love to see it .... sounds like a more colorful, funny version of It Shoulda Been You with much more interesting music. It could be so beautiful and fun ....and I think it could be just unique enough to be a big hit.

I think there was a thread on here about his somewhere. Didn't they have auditions late last year? Or was that just for a workshop? Anyone see the workshop?

Casting was done in November. I don't remember seeing anything else about it in the interim, though.

Have they announced the casting for the winter workshop yet? I wonder if Sachin Bhatt was considered for anything. He seems perfect for this show.

So Mira Nair said it's expected to come to Broadway in November this year.

Yeah i just wasnt sure if anything else was said about it. They did a small workshop last winter I believe and I had a friend who was in the audition process for it but then didn't end up doing it.

I think it could be a surprise hit, given that the score it good. The material from the movie was amazing. I also hope they cast newcomers in this. Gives new talent a chance!
