Don't be too sure about this - slots on their site do not guarantee a future life. Lots of shows end up on The Road Company's website and then do not tour.
I am a copy editor at an advertising firm. The Rapp mention is something I would point out, as it clearly doesn't belong in the release (or is missing a transitional paragraph).

I wonder if the tour won't start until 2016. A lot of the big cities have announced their seasons already and none of them include HEDWIG.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I think what is also telling is that yes, they did mention that Anthony Rapp played the role in regional theatres, but so did Andrew Rannells at the ZACH in Austin. It just seemed out of place that they only mentioned Rapp.
It is possible that it is due to the fact that Rapp played Hedwig at multiple venues rather than just one, but it still seemed a little out of place. That being said, Rapp has a solid career in NYC, so it would be an interesting choice if he toured (though they may need a big name in the more conservative markets).
Rapp's name was thrown in there because they initially copied and pasted the shows info from the article about Rapp tweeting he would play the role agin in a heartbeat.
"We have plans for our production of Hedwig to spread nationally, and to Europe, Asia and Australia, so it’s very exciting. As far as touring goes, now that I’ve done it and opened it up again, I would never say never. " -john cameron mitchell
