I did this once before, a couple of years ago, with movies I like to watch in the fall. I'm tired of snow and winter and record-breaking cold temps, and I'm already thinking about films I like to watch when spring arrives. Some of them have nothing to do with spring, it's just that this is when I think about them. For others, it's because that's the season when I first saw them. What are your favorite spring movies?
Some of mine (in no particular order):
Field of Dreams Howards End 8 1/2 Somewhere in Time Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory The Umbrellas of Cherbourg Lost Horizon (1973) The Slipper and the Rose A Room with a View Fried Green Tomatoes The Ten Commandments Bambi The Color Purple Grand Canyon Hello, Dolly! State Fair It Happened One Night The Blue Bird (1940)
"Jaws is the Citizen Kane of movies."
