Anybody think Hamilton's prices will be beyond absurd when it opens on Broadway?
How about $160 for an orchestra seat? There will be 3 seats at this price and the rest of the orchestra will be premium which seems to be the newest trend - making more and more normal orchestra seats premium. Scalpers will be in heaven.Naturally the rest of Broadway will join in and raise their prices as well.
Seriously, anyone care to hazard a guess for prices for this. Interested in hearing what others think.

If initial ticket sales are great, the prices will go up and up like most successful shows like Hedwig, Gentleman's Guide and the reigning King of Unaffordability, Book of Mormon.

Regardless, they will no doubt cost more than $20 so he will pass and maybe try to find a naughty version. And you know what else... if he doesn't see it, HE WILL SURVIVE.

They'll be standard Broadway ticket prices; ranging from, as a guess, $79-$149 - not including premiums.
Then they'll realize not enough people want to see this show for that price once they have 1,000 more seats to fill every night + an additional performance per week (give or take based upon their current schedule which varies between 7-8 shows per week) and those prices will drop.
