I see that 20at20 is currently running but the selections are pretty weak. They've redesigned the site (for the worse) so maybe I'm missing something. I only see 5 shows participating. None of the usual suspects (STOMP, GAZILLION BUBBLES) are listed which seems very odd to me.

Hey Clyde, I was wondering the same thing! If you go to their Facebook, their most recent post says that their website is experiencing technical difficulties and there's a link to a full-list of participating 20@20 shows. There's 46 of them, I think! Lots of the usual suspects plus some new additions from the Fall. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info. Can't say there's still much on there that I'm interested in seeing for $20. Maybe RASHEEDA SPEAKING.

Do you have to line up before 20 minutes before the show or is it safe to just show up at 7:40 for an 8pm show? For example....Avenue Q.

The Lion was really terrific. I saw it a few months ago at City Center. Now it's downtown. The guy is a brilliant guitarist, and his story is moving.

I enjoyed Da at DR2, the temporary home of the Irish Repertory Theater. And I am looking forward to Lives of the Saints, because I enjoyed All in the Timing so much, and it's largely the same cast and creative team.

When I did it previously, and I can't remember what I saw, but it was something else at NWS, people queued up earlier for Avenue Q, not sure if it was necessary, but they were definitely there before 7:40p

Has anyone seen Nevermore yet? How were the 20at20 lines for it?

I plan on seeing APPLICATION PENDING, THE LION, RASHEEDA SPEAKING, THE WOODSMAN and NEVERMORE this week. 5 shows, $100. Great deal!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Used this last night to see A Beautiful Day in November...- weird little play, but definitely entertaining, and for a great price. Wish I were more free this week to see some of the other offerings, I'm particularly interested in Rasheeda Speaking.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

NEVERMORE was interesting. The costumes and wigs are gorgeous. Set was bad and weirdly modern. I left at intermission, because I found it one note.

THE WOODSMAN was incredibly clever while maintaining a strong storytelling. brilliant moving powerful.

WIESENTHAL was a great performance about a truly amazing man in history.

Still want to see APPLICATION PENDING (I hear the script at the reading was terrible though... but I love her, so I would give it a shot...)

Also interested in LIVES OF THE SAINTS and RASHEEDA SPEAKING.

Stomp could be fun too. I havnt seen it in nyc.

I know 20at20 ended yesterday, but I didn't want to start a new thread.

Did anybody catch The Lion? I'm really interested but would like to hear some thoughts.

I saw THE LION at the City Center last July and went back this week to the Lynn Redgrave Theater. It's the exact same amazing show in a different space. I would highly recommend seeing it if you haven't. My only issue with that space is that there are two very large columns in the space that definitely block sight lines if you're sitting on the sides. If you have a choice in terms of seating then definitely aim for more centralized seats.

EVERYONE should run and see The Lion. It is cheap, short, and GORGEOUS. Delightful little story, lovely tunes and talent, charismatic delivery, intimate theater, and touching messages.

Do NOT miss it! What a gem.
