Godspell is such a unique show in that every production is able to leave its own stamp on the piece. In the late Nineties, I remember reading on Musicals.Net (God, I miss that place) about a production that essentially ripped off the flavor of the moment (i.e., Rent) by setting the show in the East Village on Christmas Eve at the end of the millennium. The "Angel" equivalent sang "Turn Back, O Man." So, yes, someone has. Why do you ask?
