When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

Okay, I was expecting there to be a little more in common with the two videos than the fact that they're set at their parents' houses, but nope, that's literally it!
Guys, I think givesmevoice was gently mocking Laura Benanti's recent outrage over the similarities between her and Jane Krakowski's Peter Pan "audition" videos.

"Fascist" is a bit melodramatic, Robbie. I do agree, however, that the films are not at all alike. La Margherita is laugh-out-loud-til-you-cry funny! Benanti is, as all-too-often, cringe-worthy.
I couldnt get past 30 seconds of that marguerita one.
"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."

Ah...I totally missed all that! Sorry, gives!
Also...please note my use of 'fascist' was an intentionally absurd bit of hyperbole.
Yeah, the video was in desperate need of editing, but it was still fun. Laura was telling the guy with the great hair from Broadway.com that she's started working on original comedic material - possibly for tv - and partially motivated by her popularity on Twitter and the lack of great female roles she's finding for women inbetween "young ingenue" and "post-menopausal witch". I think if paired with the right partner, she could create some really interesting stuff.
I found it pretty cloying and not very funny. The bits were way too long and run into the ground. Not her best moments.
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
I'm not sure about any of her "bits." Sometimes she's funny, definitely, but it's very clear that she doesn't have the best instincts as far as actually creating long form comedy. As Tina Fey once said, when it comes to sketch comedy, "establish the game, play the game and get out." Laura's videos generally seem too focused on showcasing this persona and less focused on the all important "game." That being said, there were certainly a few lines in this video I found to be hilarious.
