Get your tickets FAST. Because the entire run is going to sell out pretty much immediately once it's official that he's in this. Good for Harvey Weinstein for getting a mega star for this show!
I am telling you Jeremy Jordan is probably happy not to do it. I am not saying he hated the show or anything like that. But if you watch the promotion interviews he did for the trial run.. he did not come off as a happy camper.
lol yea right. With all the gossip and articles on Morrison possibly going into Neverland, he's def going into Neverland. I just wonder if Laura Michelle Kelly will continue. As for Jordan, he seems like he actually really loved playing the role. Thats what he said anyway
Can't wait. :) Hope I can fly to NYC for this. :) ...Even though I'll have to restrain myself from kicking everyone calling him "Mr Schue" or bringing Glee stuff at the stagedoor. So, basically, 80% of the audience.
"Mr Sondheim, look: I made a hat, where there never was a hat, it's a Latin hat at that!"
How do we know this wasn't the plan all along? Isn't it possible Jordan was signed for the out of town tryout knowing full well Morrison was already signed on for any future Broadway run?
(For the record, I don't think Morrison is going to be the box office bonanza Weinstein thinks he will be..but neither would Jeremy Jordan.)
Weirdly this kind of makes me mad. Not because I have anything against him, or because I was excited about Jeremy Jordan. It's just that I'm really excited for Finding Neverland, and I don't want tickets to become impossible to get just because of all the Glee fans he attracts.
Also, I'm a big fan of Laura Michelle Kelley, and I've been wanting to meet her for a while. Now I'm thinking about that crazy Gleek stage-door I'll have to deal with. (I know she hasn't been announced to transfer, but I really hope she does) (also I know that his Gleek fan base is not really a legitimate reason to be annoyed by this casting, but whatever, that was my first reaction. I'm sure he'll do a good job)
I'm going to see Matthew in a couple weeks. At the stage door I will ask if he can share any info. That is, if an official announcement is not made by then.
If it is Finding Neverland then he must have done a great job at the workshop. Weinstine was very complementary of his work in the movie Tulip fever to THR recently and regards him well as an actor. If Weinstines approach to producing theather is like his movies then he would want people who will be recieved well critically so he wouldn't cast Matthew unless he believes in him to deliver that.
Gutted. Am going to New York in April and was excited to finally get to see Jeremy Jordan perform live. I am sure Morrison will be good but it seems a shame after the great reviews Jeremy got in Boston. Although I am sure he must have known the deal before he signed on for that. Pity though.
