The show will conclude its runs at Phoenix Theatre on 21st March when Ronan Keatings run ends.

A new show is set to open April and should be announced shortly...

No real surprise as this has been struggling and the producers had to resort to stunt casting to move tickets. I expect the Broadway production to announce it's closing too, as their figures have been abysmal recently.

Baz has tweeted to say that David Beckham is going to be next as in Bend It like Beckham is next up.

Good to see Charles Hart pick up the pen again!

Sad to see this closing - one of the most beautiful, heart-wrenching, uplifting pieces of theatre I have ever seen, packed with really gorgeous songs.

But also glad to see a new Howard Goodall/Charles Hart musical heading to a West End stage, following two highly acclaimed productions of their musicals The Dreaming and The Kissing Dance in Fringe venues.

Also announced that the Broadway prouction is closing in January also, anyone think the producers were locked in a late night meeting last night?

Once has has a great run at the Phoenix, I'm guessing the producers decided to close London after Ronan Keating finished his run rather than limp along until July. Good to see The Phoenix will get a new show fairly soon after Once closes. 2015 is shaping up to a good year for new musicals with Beautiful and now Bend it like Beckham.

A reproduction of the Broadway production of ONCE opened in Melbourne this week. It is a limited season and is co-sponsored by the Melbourne Theatre Company. It is not at this time expected to tour.

I think ONCE would do well if they opt to have a UK tour for a year or two.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

FINALLY! This show is so slow and boring. I am happy for you that enjoyed it, but it was really overrated and I am happy that something new is getting a chance. When I saw it recently there were about 50 people in the stalls and they were frantically moving people down to fill the seats!

I wonder if this will give The Commitments a little box office boost next year, if it also makes it?

How someone can say this show is slow and boring is beyond my understanding....

For me it is a most perfect show, I really hope it will tour once it finishes in London. I know it was said it would go on a European tour but I will just believe it when I see the announcement.
