My local theatre company is taking proposals for their Fall 2015 show, and I'm looking to submit something, but I want to get some suggestions from the board. The one key element that has me stumped, is they want something that is family friendly, and can accomidate a chorus of children if possible. Last year the show was Joseph, and this year its Scrooged. Any ideas will help.

I was thinking Oliver, Bye Bye Birdie, or Miracle on 34th Street (formerly Here's Love), but not sure if they want two Christmas musicals back to back.

Thanks

Try THE MUSIC MAN or OKLAHOMA! Both are wonderful shows with recognizable titles and have opportunities for large amounts of children to be in them.

Here are some that have children in them.

The Sound Of Music
Annie
Evita (probably not that family friendly though)

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Avoid Miracle on 34th Street as the material and structure are very weak. Oliver! is darker than you may recall. Take a look at Big.
