I'm excited reading today about the Bandstand workshop taking place through this week. They performed for potential financial backers, whom Reidel said were enthusiastic. He's high on the show too, calling it a potential 2015 Tony winner. Does anyone know more about the show or producers' plans for future development of the musical?

The workshop was actually presented last week on Sept. 3rd and 4th at a small theatre above the Vivian Beaumont at Lincoln Center. Not sure of the producer's plans for the future.

^In response to that, he said 'Bullets' was his favorite musical before he saw it...

Interesting, sweetTb'way. Playbill had the worksho lasting from Aug. 11 through Sept. 19. I thought that this was a remarkably long time for a workshop.

Well, probably two weeks to rehearse/learn it. Then maybe a week of readings? It does seem long.

At first, I thought this show was gonna be another jukebox musical - this time, about Dick Clark's show.

I'm excited after reading this column, and thinking positive. The title though has me thinking Dick Clark too, and hopefully they can come up with a better one.
