Posted: 7/21/14 at 12:41pmThis seems so bogus. The comedy club chain isn't even called "Glee" It's called "The Glee Club". Surely the high court is next going to ban any productions of Caberet! Surely there are a number of clubs with "Cabaret" within their names. NO?

Surely they can't hold that strict of a copyright on the phrase "Glee Club." And the show isn't even called that.

Posted: 7/21/14 at 3:21pmI was going to say that I was unsure of what the copyright law is in England over this, knowing that you can't copyright a name in the US. It's the same thing, there as it is here. A logo is a thing that you can copyright, however, a name is not. How this got sent to a high level judge in something that's beyond me.

Posted: 7/21/14 at 3:34pmIf they have to, I'm sure they could simply add another word or something to the title card in the UK and that would be it. I mean House aired there as Dr House, MD, or something just to clarify what it was about and that didn't exactly cost them millions to change.
