"I am allowed to voice my opinion just like every other poster on this board.
I won't be made to believe otherwise."
Who's stopping you?
"Please show me one other instance in which I've done this."
It seems a likely past or future event if you have a natural aversion to NPH, yet enter threads dedicated to him. I have shows/people I'm not that interested in... so I just skip threads about them.
Believe it or not. Not everyone has to agree with YOU, Kad. Trying to openly mock someone for their opinion is pretty sad. Disagree all you want, but there are adult ways of handling it.
and I'm meh about their homogenized rich white gay personas.
Not sure they are "personas" any more than they are actually rich, white and gay. What is it that is "homogenized"? Their desire to get married and raise kids or their desire to be a family or the way they memorialize family events? Yeah, the birthday gift thing made me roll my eyes, but if I were filthy rich and my husband planned something like that for me, I can't say I would be angry or sad about it.

"Trying to openly mock someone for their opinion is pretty sad."
There is a HUGE difference between mocking someone and mocking someone's opinion, although you've seemingly merged them into one thing. The latter is fair game.
I agree with everybody who thinks they should blend in and not stick out like sore thumbs or be pale. At the Met Gala. They should have tried to be unmemorable.
"I am sorry, but the two of them stick out like a sore thumb"
When the theme of the ball is a tribute to Charles James.... no, no they do not. The structure and cut of those suits were a conscious choice. Thom Browne is a beautiful designer, and I think they look great.
The celebrated and rich lead different lives than mere mortals. The MET Ball is a perfect example. They were at a F**KING BALL. When was the last time all you "Cinderellas" had that opportunity? Your high school proms?
They're beautiful people with other beautiful and or filthy rich people.
It's a fun game for these folks. If you're appalled by it be happy that you're on the outside looking in and don't have to be in any way tainted by their extreme style.
"How about a simple statement of disagreement without resorting to mockery at all? Too much to ask?"
Maybe you'd find your grail easier if you got off your high horse.
I, A) didn't mock FOAntic, B) didn't assert my opinion was correct, and C) pointed out the opinion in question was both hyperbolic and inaccurate.
And yes, I am mocking you. Because- judging by your posting history, which is comprised almost exclusively of telling people how to behave and getting into arguments with people who rub you the wrong way and then vanishing for a year or so and then doing it all again- you really seem to like it.
