The actual argument itself is faulty. The show titles within the argument are irrelevant.

"If Mrs. wants to go to A and Mr. wants to go to B, then they must end up at B"

You need a lot of unwarranted assumptions to end up at that conclusion.

It is unfortunate but in many (maybe most cases) the wife defers to husband when it comes to date night. She wants to go out and he wants to stay in and watch the game. If she wants sushi at Nobu and he wants a porterhouse steak at Smith & Wollensky they will probably end up at S&W. If she wants to see BRIDGES and he wants to see ROCKY they will end up at the Winter Garden. It may not be right but that is how things work. I will bet that even Lena Dunham will confirm this.

Or in our case, you are two wimps from San Diego. You are not feeling too great so you pick the theater across the street with Bullets because it's less likely you will freeze to death.
