Dying to hear some clips and can't find any. Anyone want to point me towards the audio everyone is talking about?

I saw Nikki James in Mormon last April. She gave the most boring, uninspired performance I have ever seen on a Broadway stage. I don't know if she had just been in the show too long at that point or what, but girl was bored and it clearly showed. I was shocked when she was announced as Eponine!

Nikki's Nabulungi clearly started waning after a while. She was great again towards the end of her run, though.

Weren't Gavroche's film lyrics, or at least some of them, part of the production in 1985 at the Barbican. I recall an interview where Frances Ruffelle commented on Gavroche's lyrics and how she hadn't heard them since they were cut around that time.

Not word-for-word, but they're very similar in tone to James Fenton's lyrics.

Can you post it here?

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

Re: Andy
He tweeted before the first preview asking people not to bootleg the show, too.

@andymientus: One request as we prepare to face the world: please don't bootleg our show! It is rude and illegal. Thanks!!! ??

And then today:
@andymientus: Annnnd a bootleg is already out there. Whoever did that: I personally think you are a dick. For real.

Nikki James auditioned for the gig herself, and I highly doubt she was cast all because of her name!

Les Miserables

I've noticed the pictures of the proscenium have been really cut off, so if this is worth anything: This is from the new sit-down that was just in Toronto, which im 90% sure uses the same sets.

The extended proscenium was actually used with actors coming in and out of the entrances and opening up/closing the windows

"..you highly doubt she was cast at all?"

No I mean clarifying not "all because of her name" to "at all because of her name". I can't imagine it was a factor in the decision - I don't think she has a name that would sell tickets. I assume her casting is based purely on perceived talent.

I don't think she has a name that would sell tickets.

She has a Tony from starring in the biggest show since Wicked. It wasn't going to hurt.

Curious if anyone on here was at tonight's preview since it does not seem like a lot of posters were at the first preview.

I don't think Andy is against bootlegs. I was honored when he posted on Twitter a video I filmed of Pippin. (The video is currently private.)

My guess is he is against current running shows being filmed....? Who knows!

Yes he is. I saw the show tonight - I had never seen a production before but given all the hype from the movie, the recent O2 concert etc. I have to say I am just a little "over it". Everything was 'good' - I really don't have any complaints, but meh. I can't imagine why you would want to see this if you have seen it recently unless you a die hard fan of the show. Highlights: Bring Him Home, the projections for Javert's Suicide (I found it odd for the audience to applaud after it though), Andy Mientus, On My Own. It's long and if this musical were brand new I'm sure someone would force the writers to remove text and music.

Also, the placement of I Dreamed a Dream was NOT "So much better than before" the movie was made :P. The song really doesn't carry much weight after the movie IMO. Meh meh meh.

No sorry, my shameless LB reference makes my post confusing. It's where it always is - but they should rewrite the show and make it similar to the movie.
