Had the pleasure of seeing Kristen on tour last night at Proctor's in Schenectady, NY. The over 90 minute show was terrific. She was in great voice and sang a very eclectic mixutre of music.... Not too many stops on the this "mini-tour" - but if you get the chance to see her - - you should do so!

Seeing her at Carnegie as well, though the music she sings will be different then the act she is doing right now. Carnegie is separate from her mini tour, I think.

There was no published song list - and there were a number of songs I was not familiar with, but some of the Broadwway songs were: "Maybe This Time" "Popular" & "For Good" from "Wicked", "Bring Him Home". She also did a wonderful version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow"

Seeing her in Louisville on the 12th! I am so glad she doesn't disappoint. Although I never thought she would :)

Just to add, she also sang "Maybe This Time" (the Glee version), "Fathers and Daughters" and "I Was Here" from her new CD "Lessons Learned," "And I Will Always Love You," "Taylor the Latte Boy" and a song from Miss Saigon.

Has she added anything from Promises? I would kill to see her sing "Knowing When to Leave".

^On Twitter, she said that was one of the hardest songs she's ever had to sing, so I doubt she would sing it. But I am 100% with you! I would kill to see her sing that!

Sounds like the same tired show she has been doing for over a year. Did she have the Ave Q Muppets? Did she do the Dolly Parton thing?

Does anyone know if Kristin Stage Door's after? I feel like somewhere I read that she does.

I know they had tickets on their website for a meet and greet for like $275 so I'm not sure if she will or not. I'm not sure if she does that before or after the show. That would be awesome if she did though.

I saw the opening leg of this mini-tour in Lancaster where Jonathan Groff did Islands In The Stream with her and then he stayed on stage to do Moving Too Fast from The Last Ten Years. A friend saw her in Philadelphia in the fall and warned us the show would not be all Broadway but the show we saw in Lancaster was Broadway to the empthteenth. She was in amazing voice and very relaxed with the audience. I thought she did an amazing job with My Lord & Master from The King And I and really blew me away with an Andrew Lippa song she said he gave her - I wish I could remember the title so I could look up someone signing it on You Tube. It was not the kind of song I would associate with Kristen. She tried two comedic songs, a re-work of Dance Ten Looks Three and I'm Tired from Blazing Saddles which didn't go over with the same aplomb as The Charlie Brown song she does so well. She kept telling everyone that the show was 90 minutes without an intermission but it actually went over two hours. She can definitely cut a few songs towards the end of the show but I was happy to be in her company. I saw her in Carnegie Hall years ago and enjoyed this show much more. It came replete with a Broadway overture that started with the Wicked overture and segued through her songs from Music Man, Candide, Promises, Promises, Annie, and Charlie Brown - would love to hear that overture played by an even larger orchestra. Great show, will be interesting to see what she brings to Carnegie Hall.

Ok so I saw the show last night and it was wonderful! She was in great voice and was ginuinely happy to be visiting Louisville for the first time. She has changed her show a bit. The Avenue Q thing was gone and she did not perform "What Would Dolly Do?" She did a really cool thing with "Popular" and switched between Japanese, German, and English. She sang "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" and "Bring Him Home" and both brought tears to my eyes. After the show I went to the stage door and was 2nd in line which I was happily suprized by. My group and I waited for about an hour and she came out and looked adorable all bundled up for our cold weather. She was in a rush to make a flight to Texas so she did not pose for pictures but we could take pictures of her as she signed. She signed 4 things for me. Those were:

- Wicked OBC Window Card
- Promises, Promises Window Card
- You're a Good Man Cahrlie Brown Window Card
- Promo Poster for her stop in Louisville (11x17)

My name is Taylor so at the stage door I gave her a $5 Starbucks gift card and she was very happy about it! I also mentioned that I LOVED Big Fish and got a nice 30 second conversation on how it never should have closed. It was an amazing night.

*Also a side note: One of my firends was in the final 2 for people to sing For Good with Kristin. Kristin wanted the youngest and it was my friend but somthing got lost in translation and the other girl got to go. My friend mentioned this at the stage door and Kristin was very appoligetic and said the next time my friend was at one of her shows she could sing it with her.

Caught the final show in San Antonio last night. Concert was very nice - not much of the annoying schtick.

I must say though - her people are absolutely horrible to fans/the public. I was in a VIP meet and greet and they were so worried about getting her out to the stage door that they ignored me and pulled her (literally) out of the room before she could even acknowledge me. I would have been better off waiting at the stage door, not the VIP meet & greet.

Really quite upsetting - not that I didn't talk to her, but to be rudely ignored and dismissed - and to observe them treat those she did speak to with nothing but contempt.

Such a shame.

So, when you say that your friend was in the final two to sing For Good with Kristin... Can you please give more info on this? How exactly did this happen? She says right on the stage that it is random and that she has never met the person before. It seems like it's a little bit of false advertising if this is actually prearranged. But, it makes sense. But so many people claim that they had no knowledge of it before they sang with her. How did your friend almost win this honor? Was there an audition? If so, how did your friend hear about it? How does someone find out about them if they are going to the concert at a later date? Thanks for the info!

^From what I heard, she walks through some of the rows and questions people. I remember her saying that she was gonna pick someone but they acted rude towards her. I think she asks them if they know the lyrics etc. and get a feel if they would be a nervous wreck or not.

^ This is correct. She was asking my friend and one other person questions DURING the show. There are no "Auditions" its just who Kristin picks based on attitude and knowledge of the song. But in Louisville Kristin decided she wanted the youngest of the two still standing. My friend was actually younger by 2 months but as I stared above something got lost in translation and the other girl got picked. Keep in mind this ALL takes place during the show. I was really hoping to get "interviewed" and if my hand had shot up just a bit faster than my friend's it very well could have been me. Oh well. Her next concert the second she even mentions Idina Menzel, duet, or Wicked my hand will be the first up because she has people in the isles of the theater getting the people closest to the isles to stand and talk to her. So here's to next time!
