Is it just me or have there been a considerably greater number of ad spots for Broadway shows over the last few weeks? Just last night, while watching NBC 4 (New York), I saw spots for at least five or six different Broadway shows -- including BRIDGES..., ROCKY, and CABARET -- within a two hour span.
I wonder if anyone else has noticed this on the local metro channels. I'm imagining they are trying to keep up their profile within the region to get through these historically difficult few months. But maybe I'm wrong. Thought I'd see if others took notice at all.
January is always the worst month for Broadway ticket sales. Were you around several years ago for the Les Miserables January ticket sales?
