Ryan would love for her to return. I really hope she comes back! I could only imagine what Ryan could create for her after this season.

I would love for him to get her and Mandy Patinkin in a season together!

I would say Mandy has bigger and better (quality wise) things to do on Homeland

I'd LOVE to see her back! I was actually talking to a coworker about AHS, and he said he loved her character and actually looked her up to see who she was. After I scolded him for not knowing who Patti fricken LuPone is we both read about Ryan wanting her back.

"I would say Mandy has bigger and better (quality wise) things to do on Homeland"

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

Mandy Patinkin was written out of HOMELAND at the end of Season 3. While it is always possible he could return for a guest spot, Tracy Letts has taken over the role of the new no-nonsense CIA Director -- I can already picture the clashes between him and Carrie.

Response to spoiler about Homeland-Mandy Patinkin's character was not written out. He will still be on the show, just not in that job. http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/12/homeland-season-4-mandy-patinkins-saul-fate-revealed.html

Come on, Homeland in season 1 and 2 was one of my favorite shows on TV. That said, season 3 was nearly unwatchable and AHS season 3 is incredibly superior.

I thought the third season of HOMELAND was pretty good, certainly good enough to make me go back and watch the first two seasons that I had missed first time around. The first season of AMERICAN HORROR STORY was such a load of rubbish - displaying all of the typical Ryan Murphy problems - that I gave up on the series completely. Even though I've heard that the subsequent seasons were better, I haven't really been motivated to hunt them down after the fact.

We bailed on Homeland after about five episodes this season (3). And I've been far less annoyed with AHS this season compared to the first two...

This season of AHS has really fallen apart--Season 2 somehow, brilliant held together in the end due to Tim Minear's writing--he was demoted apparently due to Ryan Murphy hearing that some people didn't like last season, and it shows.

I think the thing that made this season start to unravel was Misty's ability to resurrect people. I remember being so upset when Grace died last season. Yeah, she came back, but there wasn't a plot element already in place to make sure of that. Death has never really held too much weight in any of the seasons, but this year especially they're getting bumped off and resurrected at a rate that makes it hard to remember who's actually been dead.
