If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I've been trying to track down a copy of this for a few years. I keep hoping it at least will pop up on youtube (like the Broadway on Showtime production of Picnic with Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gregory Harrison, Rue McClanahan finally did http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1DuiV_cl7A )

It would particularly be nice to see since the movie, as much as I enjoy it, changed so much of the play (then again the film version of Inge's Dark At The Top of the Stairs--despite a starry cast and being a box office hit when it came out seems impossible to track down as well...)

Thank you, Eric. I saw that production live, but I've never seen the Showtime film. (Damn! Harrison was hot on stage!)

Pretty sure it was an HBO production, as that was the only cable station my family had! They did a few plays, I remember this (and I remember loving it) and Vanities (with Meredith Baxter Birney & Annette O'Toole?) and Barefoot in the Park and (maybe) Wait Until Dark.

I remember being mesmerized by them all.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I don't think we have to fight about this, but the youtube clip says and reads "SHOWTIME" several times during the opening credits. In fact, it's the first reference in the film.

Gav -- I was referring to Bus Stop. Isn't that clip of Picnic?
