Ew and ew.

Here's hoping for a bit more creativity with the rest of this season's Playbill covers...

Ugh another Beatles tribute. Rain was just a couple years ago. They're all the same.

Yes, and let's not have the "artists" who did the Seminar and The Assembled Parties" Playbills do more Playbills. :)

Seminar's playbill cover/logo was pretty ingenious in my opinion. A play about a writing seminar's title being made up of adjectives to describe a piece of work, it is one of the most clever logos in recent years.

I like that so far this season, the Playbills are all in color!

That is indeed a good point. I think I would have like a combination of the logo with the face shots / group shot of the aftors that ended up being the poster. The same applied for me to The Assembled Parties. But then I like to frame Playbills from plays that I liked so more graphical Playbills make for a better wall decoration. :)

The strange way their bodies are contorted immediately brings a heart shape to mind, even though it isn't technically a heart shape. I guess they were going for the sexy "blending into the sheets" thing? I'm tired.
What a colossal piece of crap! It'll probably run for years.

I LOVE the simplicity of The Glass Menagerie's art.

Out of all the covers posted so far, my favorites are Romeo and Juliet, A Night with Janis Joplin, and Soul Doctor.

I don't think it's really that bright neon. I think this is a more accurate representation, given the colors of the 5th anniversary Playbill:
