Kinky Boots stage door?

I'm hopefully seeing the show during the Summer and was wondering, do many of the cast members usually sign at the stage door? I don't stage door that often but want to get the chance to meet Billy Porter.

I went Sunday before the Tonys and neither Billy nor Stark came out. I think they had somewhere to be, and I've read other accounts where they do come out and sign, they probably didn't that one time because of Tony preparations or something. I'm also guessing they don't sign after matinees on two-show-days, but I'm not 100% sure.

Absolutely. They usually will all come out and sign, including ensemble. Maybe 4 or 5 select ensemble cast members will just walk without stopping. But they'll all be gracious if you do ask!

I went a couple weeks ago and basically the entire cast came out and signed. The only ones who I didn't see were Stark and Ellyn Marie Marsh. Billy was the last to come out but could not have been kinder!

Saw the show Friday before Tony's. Didn't really want to fight any crowd for stage door. After show, went to 10th Avenue for a drink. Walking back to my hotel around 11:15 and there was Billy graciously posing for pictures with the small crowd that was left. May have been bigger before. Very nice and personable.

^Stark almost always comes out. Last weekend, he was actually signing autographs before the Sunday show as well...even though I think that's a terrible time to bother actors.
