Schedule of Matildas?

Is there a schedule of Matildas? Do the girls each play certain nights, or is it random each week? Wondering if I can figure out who I'll be seeing...

From my understanding it's been discussed on this board that the schedule is random and never released. I could be wrong though.

You are right it is never released, but 2 Matilda's share the first half of the week and 2 share the second half, so if you want to see one in particular then you can try and work it out as if it is a sunday and they havent performed yet then you know they are likely to go on, then get rush tickets, but you still can't be certain!

^^That's not how the rotation has been working since the second week of previews. At first it definitely seemed like they would be doing it that way, but it really has been completely random since the first eight shows. There is a twitter set up (@MatildaBwayNYC) where the people running it try to keep up with the rotation so that people may at least get an idea of who they'll be seeing when they go to the show. A quick look there definitely shows the rotation is as random as it gets.

The kids in the show don't know what days they'll be on until Sunday evening.

I suspect they are required to be at the theater regardless of whether or not they are scheduled to perform -- so theire schedule is to be there for the entire week.


(And note: I said 'suspect', not KNOW.)

Dramamama - I believe (someone can correct me if I'm wrong) that two Matildas are at every performance and the second is literally in costume and ready to go throughout the entire show so that if one of the girls needs to be replaced, she can do it at a moment's notice and not have to stop the show for long, as happened last week. The girls not on are not at the theatre and are given some much-needed time to rest and do other things young girls should be doing, namely, school.

Thank you all! My tickets are for June so it sounds like it'll have to be a complete surprise. I didn't have a necessity or preference so it was just for curiosity's sake.

Though I agree that it's weird that they wouldn't give such young girls a set schedule. It's nice to mix it up so they all get to play, say, Saturday night, but I'm sure their parents would prefer a routine... :)

let's not kid (hah!) ourselves here. These girls have Nanny's, Drivers, Tutors, etc. The parents are not resonsible for these girls except on their days off.

i would like to believe that they do have a regular schedule but they dont make it public to prevent a run on tix for one or two girls over the others and making the girls insecure
