Passed by the Imperial this morning on my way out of town and the sign crews were taking the old marquee down. Kind of sad for a moment but then I remembered Jessie will now be Billie and everything will be ok..

So sappy but it's been so cool to watch her grow and become bigger and bigger after seeing her Broadway debut in On a Clear Day a little over a year ago. I think she'll be amazing in this part and cannot wait to see her!
Wonder if they'll have new production stills at the Imperial soon, will be walking by there on my way to a concert tonight, hope they do.
That isn't her in the red wig, that's just a chorus girl. I'm assuming since Kelli left a week earlier than planned and she's jumping in early, maybe the artwork for new posters isn't ready yet or will be put up soon?
Mueller must have a great agent to get her name above the title! I figured they would try to get her below the title to push Broderick more (though Mueller definitely deserves to be above the title).
It may have been the terms that she wanted in order to take the part. Assuming the show will probably close in june or at summers end, to get name above title and to co-star with Broderick is a career booster for sure. Good move!

Eeek! Not a fan of the new artwork. I was hoping they'd reshoot the original production still with Jessie Mueller and use that, though I figured it was a bit unlikely.
I see this running through about Labor Day, and next winter if they're lucky or pull in a big star name replacement for Broderick, but still it'll be a great run for Mueller and a big boost for her career. She'll get the chance to prove she can carry a show as a leading lady, hopefully she'll get to originate a leading part of her own soon after. Broken record that I am...Funny Girl, anyone?
Cameron Adams will be playing Billie for the four performances(March 26-2 before Mueller takes over.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Blythe was a bit underwhelming...hopefully she is more comfortable in the role now...

While I never like to single out a negative performer, I feel Blythe is pretty awful in the role. She is only in the show for about 10 minutes but both times I have seen her, she forgets her lines, her lines range from barely audible to yelling and once she hit herself in the head and her microphone went out for a moment. I read that Estelle is coming back at the end of April and she will be a welcomed return.
